TVS & Sons have launched MyTVS as an Multi-brand Car Service Network, focusing on the car customer and his latent needs. MyTVS was formed with two core values – Trust & Relationship - by fusing independent service businesses and enveloping car customers with additional features. The objective is to cultivate a well focused no frill service solution as an independent option to discerning car customers across the country.
MyTVS has attained a clear market position in the targeted segment and created a separate niche for itself, it is now proposed to hive off this business as a separate company by forming a subsidiary of T V Sundram Iyengar and Sons Limited.
Business carried out in the name of MyTVS has been transferred to a new company called “TVS Automobile Solutions Limited” (TVS ASL). This company while being a subsidiary of TVS & Sons Ltd will have funding through private equity participation from Kitara Capital. The new company will continue to use the brand name “MyTVS” and from customer perspective there is no change.
The bouquet of customer centric businesses offered under the MyTVS brand are –MyTVS All Car Services for multi-brand car services and MyTVS 24 x 7 Emergency Services -an emergency road assistance for mechanical and electrical breakdowns, ambulance, cabs, winch and towing and legal coordination assistance across India (except J&K and North-Eastern States).
The trust factor comes automatically from TVS brand. My signifies the relationship.
MyTVS All Car Services
At present there are 22 own outlets and 49 All Car Services franchised outlets in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andra Pradesh and Karnataka. This division conducts customer satisfaction audit every year to evaluate the customer perception and take remedial measures. Multi brand car serving as a concept was well accepted by the value seeking car customer. The satisfying aspect is the brand is well recognized by the customer. The franchisees are all making profits. Some of the new franchisees have started making profits within three months of starting operation and some of them are going for advanced equipment such as Scan tool from internal accruals.
