CAR CARE |
|
|
|
| |
|
| |
- Make
sure
that
loose
electrical
connections
of your
car are
repaired.
- Coat
battery
terminals
with
petroleum
jelly
and use
a
waterproofing
spray to
keep the
electrical
system
moisture-free.
- Ensure
that all
the
tyres
have at
least
2mm of
tread
depth
and have
sufficient
tyre
pressure
to
prevent
skidding.
- Apply
anti-rust
coating
specially
on the
underbody
of the
car.
- Apply
wax on
the car
body as
it forms
a
protective
layer
increasing
the life
of the
car.
- Ensure
that the
engine
is well
serviced
and
watertight.
- Unscrew
the
spark
plugs
and wipe
them dry
with a
piece of
cloth.
- Place
old mats
or
newspapers
on the
car
carpet
as they
will
soak up
the
dirty
water,
and keep
the
floorboard
dry.
- Replace
hard and
cracked
wiper
blades
as they
can
cause
scratches
on the
windshield.
- Use a
soap
solution
instead
of plain
water
for
windshield
cleaning.
It will
increase
the
visibility
when it
pours.
- Check
your
brakes,
as old
and
rusty
brakes
tend to
fail
when
wet.
- When
you're
in hilly
terrain
don't
drive in
heavy
rain.
- During
heavy
rain
trail
the car
ahead of
you to
avoid
pot
holes.
